CAPITAL INVESTMENT ENTRANT SCHEME (CIES)
CIES in Hong Kong is a residency-by-investment program designed to attract high-net-worth individuals to settle in Hong Kong by making a substantial financial investment.

Key Features of CIES
Objective:
·To boost Hong Kong's economy by attracting wealthy individuals to reside and invest in the city.
·Facilitates long-term residency for eligible investors and their families.
Eligibility:
·Applicants: Open to foreign nationals (except those from Afghanistan, Cuba, and North Korea), Chinese nationals with permanent residency abroad, Macao SAR residents, and Taiwanese residents.
·Age: Applicants must be aged 18 or above.
Financial Requirements:
·Applicants must have net assets of at least HK$30 million (approximately US$3.85 million) for the two years preceding the application.
·Assets can include equities, bonds, deposits, or real estate, and must be verifiable.
Investment Requirements:
·Applicants must invest a minimum of HK$30 million in permissible investment assets, which include:
·Financial Assets (at least HK$27 million):
·Equities listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
·Debt securities, certificates of deposits, or other approved financial instruments.
·Units in authorized investment funds.
Non-Residential Real Estate (up to HK$3 million):
·Commercial or industrial properties (not residential properties).
Note: The investment must be maintained throughout the residency period.
